Bali

In the 90s, I visited Bali and fell in love right away. The following year, I couldn’t wait to return. However, it took 27 years before I set foot on the island again. I was a bit skeptical as I flew there. Would this destination still give me the same feeling now that tourism has grown so much on this small island? The answer is a resounding “yes.” It’s true that Bali has become much more crowded. There’s a lot of construction and traffic is a nightmare in many places. Yet, you can still find plenty of peaceful spots. Like the east of Bali; it still feels like the 90s here. You can make your Bali vacation as authentic as you want. I’m going for a beautiful mix, taking something from both worlds. Perfect for alternating the lively bustle with tranquil spots in nature!
